Cuckoo Chaos

During last year’s North Park Music Thing conference in San Diego we had the pleasure of discovering now INDIGENOUS artist, Tape Deck Mountain. Fresh off the 2010 event, Cuckoo Chaos are this year’s take away.  Led by front man Scott Wheeler, this five piece is what some might call a San Diego “Super Group” – comprised of players from other bands including past Rumble artist, Beaters and Single Screen Records owners, Jackson Milgaten and Craig Barclift. The immense musical talent in this line up is apparent in Cuckoo Chaos’ live show. These players are tight, energetic, and showed personality that is rare in a climate of “cool kids” stoic expression in indie music theses days. We hear they may be changing their name, so be on the look out for a new moniker.

It seems it was just yesterday, last month’s band, the mighty Jaguar Love, wreaked havoc on the Rumble circuit. The response to JL couldn’t have been better and we want to extend a HUGE thanks to everyone who came out,  all our partners, sponsors and the venues. Now, on to March…

FUTURE SOUNDS and INDIGENOUS present the San Diego Rumble, Saturday night, March 6th @ Bar Pink in North Park.

This month featuring San Diego’s BEATERS before they take off on a national tour with The Soft Pack — and two out of towners: TWIN TIGERS – an Athens, GA, Old Flame-signed foursome that make shoegaze swirling, straight-up rock and roll that’s far from forgettable and BIRDS AND BATTERIES- A lo-fi, synth-soaked foursome that have managed to evoke equal parts Radiohead, John Carpenter’s 80’s OST work and some Parliament funkiness for good measure.

DJ Mikey Face will be spinning records and we’ve got $3 Trumer Pils and tasty samplings from 9-10pm.
