Formed by real-life couple, Jesse Kivel and Zinzi Edmundson, LA’s KISSES’ disco meets 80’s synth sound is quickly making waves. The inspiration for KISSES comes from a friendship between Kivel and cult disco producer Alec R. Costandinos, who is known for his club singles in the late 1970’s. You may recognize Kivel as the front-man of indie-pop band Princeton. KISSES released “Bermuda” in March on 7″ via Surrounded Sound, which includes a remix by one of our other favorite new artists, Active Child. Download our steamy pick, “People Can Do The Most Amazing Things,” here, released today on 7″ via I AM SOUND. Catch KISSES DJing our showcase on August 14th at Bar Pink in San Diego during North Park Music Thing music conference.
